Description This melting point measurement kit makes it straightforward and easy to determine melting points up to 230°F. The kit includes an aluminum testing block with a slanted 7mm hole and a partial immersion alcohol thermometer. To use, simply sprinkle the material on top of the block, insert the thermometer into the hole, and heat the block from below using a Bunsen burner or other heat source. As soon as the material starts to melt, read the thermometer to get the melting point. The thermometer is designed with contrasting colors for easy readability and features a yellow capillary. It has a dual scale, showing temperatures from -20°C to 110°C (in 1°C increments) and 0°F to 230°F (in 1°F increments). The aluminum block measures 50mm L x 63mm W, and the thermometer is 12″ (300 mm) long. Please note that a support stand, support ring, and Bunsen burner are required but not included in the kit.
